Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Kings XI Punjab by 45 runs here at the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium, Hyderabad on Monday.

Winning the toss, KXIP's captain Ravichandran Ashwin elected to bowl first. Batting first, SRH put a massive total of 212/6 in 20 overs. David Warner, as usual, played a superb knock of 81 runs in 56 balls in his last inning of the season.Manish Pandey scored 36 runs of 25 balls while Wicketkeeper Saha scored 28 of 13 balls to help SRH put a huge total on the board. R Ashwin and M Shami took 2 wickets each for KXIP.
In reply, KXIP managed to score only 167/8 in 20 overs and losing the match by 45 runs. KL Rahul alone stood for KXIP and scored 79 of 56 balls. Mayank Agarwal hit 27 of 18 balls while N Pooran hit 21 of 10 balls which wasn't enough for them. Rashid Khan and Khaleel Ahmed each took 3-3 wickets while Sandeep Sharma took 2 wickets for SRH.

With this win, SRH move to the 4th position with 12 points in 12 games while KXIP shift to 6th place with 10 points in 12 games.
