IPL 2019 RCB vs KKR 19/04/2019
Royal Challengers Bangalore managed to get a 10- run victory over Kolkata Knight Riders which is only their 2nd victory of the season after Andre Russell and Nitish Rana nearly pulled off an impossible from the jaws of defeat here in the Eden Gardens on Friday.
After winning the toss,KKR elected to bowl on a batting friendly wicket and got wickets of Parthiv Patel and Akshdeep nath to put RCB below par in first 10 overs. In the next 10 overs we saw a Kohli 'masterclass' who scored his 5th ipl ton of just 57 balls and Moeen Ali who scored a quick fire 66 of 28 deliveries. These two brilliant innings saw RCB post a mammoth 213/4. Kuldeep Yadav conceded 59 runs in his 4-over quota, becoming the 2nd most expensive spinner in a match in IPL history.
Chasing a huge target of 214 runs, KKR got to a very slow start and the 'returner' Dale Steyn took 2 quick wickets to put KKR in backfoot. After the 4th wicket fell, Andre Russell and Nitish Rana started to pull off the impossible. Russell scored 65 of 25 balls while Rana scored 85 of 46 balls.
The last 7 overs of KKR innings saw a 'reign of terror'. Russell and Rana destroyed RCB's bowling attack. They nearly made KKR win but Moeen Ali bowled cleverly to put KKR 10 short of the target. KKR managed 203/5.
It was one of the greatest matches in IPL history.

This was RCB's second win of the season which mathematically keep them alive in the tournament while this was KKR's 5th loss putting them in the 6th position of the point table.
